Monkido Buddy
Overview
Partner Up! Primal Fun and Games for big kids and little kids!
There aren't a lot of places where kids of all ages can enjoy equal amounts of thrill and challenge. Enter the WildPlay Buddy Course!
In pairs (a child aged 7-11, and an adult), two guests embark on an adventure through the yellow (kids only, to prove their abilities), green, blue, and red course sections.
As the games get progressively harder - and higher - the fun and bonding between buddies increases as well.
All WildPlay Monkido adventures include a course training session to introduce navigation and safety. Guests quickly catch on to the rhythm of moving through a mixture of zip lines, rope swings, scrambling walls, hanging nets, wobbly bridges, and other suspended “surprises”.
The colour-coded skill level and height of each section of the course climbs steadily - boosting self-confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and enabling guests to enjoy a healthy outdoor lifestyle!

Be Prepared
- Long hair MUST be tied back. Ask a staff person for a hair band if you require one.
- We don't recommend open-toed shoes (sport sandals will work, but are not as good as shoes). Sturdy sport sandals/shoes/boots are required and to be worn securely.
- Strongly recommend no jewelry (especially necklaces or loose bracelets which could get caught in equipment).
- Clothing should be appropriate for the weather and must be worn tight to avoid catching on apparatus.
- Trees make sap. Sap stains clothes. Dress appropriately.
- Maximum harness size is 45" waist and 26" legs (circumference).
Testimonials
“Monkido with my son--we did it!”
My son and I did the monkido buddy course together. I am 52 and he is 11. I thought I was there to help him but it was the other way around. After he did the kids course we both did the adult course together. The course gradually gets higher and more difficult. The height did not bother us so much. But some of the obstacles were quite difficult. The swinging ropes and stepping on those spinning balls was hard for me. I was really tired by the end but felt good having completed the course. (Okay, I skipped the last black course that my son could not do with me.) This was really a great bonding experience with my son.

“After a quick safety lesson and basic training, we were sent off to enjoy the adventure. At first it is a little scary while getting used to being that high in the trees and getting used to the obstacles. After the green course, the red picks up the challenges and it was part way through that I finally stopped noticing how high I was and simply focused on the current challenge. Overall I think WildPlay is great for families with both the kid course and the full course is fine for teenagers. Two thumbs up and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Victoria area!”

"The whole day was a ton of fun and while we were nervous that the course would be too difficult, the staff there coached us through. At the end of it all, we felt thrilled an invigorated that we got through all the course. We'll be back for sure!!"
